Hannity’s show was a taped interview with the disgraced ex-governor of South Carolina, the one who went off to Argentina with his girlfriend instead of hiking the Appalachian Trail. I’m surprised he had a single viewer — or maybe the TVs were just on and nobody felt like reaching for the remotes.

The young viewers watch her for the same reason then watch Jon Stewart, or the Jersey Shore and “Snookie” they think she’s a comedian.  

In terms of point of view, Maddow is sharing the “lean forward” viewers with other networks, and Hannity on Fox is THE conservative at that moment. So, her gain is an absolute big deal. I like the way she gives background to her stories. To say her audience is all GLBT is sloppy thinking.
