Rosie O’Donnell Signs New Television Syndication Deal

» 13 comments

Gossip Cop is reporting exclusively that Rosie O’Donnell has signed a deal to bring a new talk show to TV syndication for the 2011-2012 season. O’Donnell, who had her own successful morning show, which she followed with a big impact in her role on The View was once considered for even possibly her own MSNBC show.

Whit sharp-tongue and strong point-of-view, O’Donnell has long been considered a syndication favorite. Speculation right now is that it will be more like her current radio show than her old daytime TV talk show.

Gossip Cop sources say it’s a done deal.

    Some network must be awfully desperate for a host. An hour of static on the screen would make for better programming.

  • writer

    Didn’t she already have a show called Whale Wars?

  • marcus.lewis

    @writer

    While Whale Wars is a successful show, Rosie O’Donnell was never involved with it in any form. The closest thing to any type of animal project she’s been involved with is doing the voice of Terk in Disney’s animated movie.

    But thanks for staying classy and going with the fat jokes. I just love how bright your wit shines.

    Boo, hoo. Rosie is a nasty tempered Truther who never hesitates to insult anyone. Cry to someone else.

    I thought Rosie’s old show was “live” at four o’click in the afternoon, eastern time.

  • marcus.lewis

    @autobahn

    I don’t see anywhere where it may be implied that I was crying. I, unlike you in this case, answered a question that ‘writer’ asked. While there is much to dislike with Rosie, resorting to making fat jokes is quite dull.

  • autobahn

    Normally I’d agree. If Rosie was a nice person, a joke about her weight would be inappropriate. But Tom Selleck is regarded as one of the nicest guys in show business, and after watching her savage him because he’s an NRA member, I don’t blame anyone for giving her some of her own medicine.

  • marcus.lewis

    @autobahn

    Her weight has nothing to do with what she says. I don’t watch her nor much TV talking heads, but if I find a person that says something repulsive–I don’t make fun of them for their weight or anything superficial, I take offense to the words/actions that were done. You see, I don’t know what she stated about Tom Selleck. Instead of making a fat joke, one could have instead actually stated how she treated other people and provide factual content–and perhaps share their knowledge with others. Instead, we are resorting to fat jokes–and that is what I find sad.

    You’re winning me over. Writer should have emphasized her nasty temper and inability to hear differing opinions, not her weight. Bad writer. Bad.

  • marcus.lewis

    See we can come to consensus =D

    And I never knew about the NRA thing, but I also don’t really care. Free speech for all. NRA has a right and so do opponents. As long as we have sensible regulations so a child can’t go into a store and purchase a gun I’m fine with that (and of course, unncessary weapons–tanks, rpgs, etc) Im an old fashion conservative when it comes to the issue of guns… Let private businesses decide their own regulations and rules. If starbucks wants to allow guns, fine—if a diamond shop thinks that guns are a bad thing fine. None of my business, I can choose to go to places that allow guns or not.

    Maybe she will replace Dan Blather on his show that no one watches.

    Marcus, you’re limiting the 2nd Amendment if you limit the kinds of arms law abiding citizens can buy.

    Back to O’Donnell, maybe she’ll be doing the “Farm News.”

    You put lipstick on a pig…
