Sarah Palin Speaks To Excited California GOP Crowd: “Fire Pelosi, Retire Reid”

video

Sarah Palin made a fiery, near-prime time speech in California tonight to an excited crowd of Republicans.

California, of course, is home to two high profile ‘mama grizzly’ candidates, Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman, who were not in attendance and were not mentioned by Palin. But she did have a lot to say.

It started with a direct shot at the Democratic leadership. “Are you ready to fight for your freedoms?” she asked the crowd, getting large cheers in response. “You fire Pelosi, retire Reid and their whole band of merry followers, and we get back on the right track.”

Palin also addressed the media. “For the press, yes I shall be invoking Reagan’s name again, and again, and again,” she said. “You won’t be hearing me invoking or quoting Alinsky, or Mao. We’re kind of a Reagan kind of crowd around here.”

She also gave Pres. Obama some suggestions on who he should be apologizing to.

Only CNN covered the speech live (but didn’t cover all of it, they went to a commercial before it was finished). Fox News stuck with its regular news programming, and MSNBC was in a doc about vampire killings, which was interesting for the five minutes I switched over but also, was, you know, about killer vampires.

Watch the full speech below:

Thank you , Sarah . ” Here’s to plain speaking and clear understanding “.

  • Azarkhan

I actually hope Meg Whitman loses. Thanks to leftist Democrats California is so screwed up that when the state goes bankrupt, I want Jerry Brown, who helped create many of the problems, to be sitting in the governors mansion.

This article explains what California residents are facing:

Public Pensions and Our Fiscal Future
Few Californians in the private sector have $1 million in savings, but that’s effectively the retirement account they guarantee to many government employees.

I don’t know whats funnier; re-runs of the three stooges or Palin making a yet another pathetic attempt to sound like she actually knows what she is taking about. Palin – the Paris Hilton of politics.

More Palin sound bites, that is all you ever get from this fool! I can’t get over how much bigger her ego is than her brain. Again slapping the press as she always does, why in the would do they give her air time or print? Fiorino & Whittman not showing up tells you all you need to know, republicans & tea partiers love her, but they know independents despise her. Would be the same if she tried to run for President!!

…Born in response to President Obama’s self-declared desire to fundamentally change America, the tea party movement has made its central goals abundantly clear. Activists and the sizeable swath of voters who sympathize with them want to reduce the massively ballooning national debt, cut runaway federal spending, keep taxes in check, reinvigorate the economy, and block the expansion of the state into citizens’ lives…

Whether members have read much or little of The Federalist, the tea party movement’s focus on keeping government within bounds and answerable to the people reflects the devotion to limited government embodied in the Constitution. One reason this is poorly understood among our best educated citizens is that American politics is poorly taught at the universities that credentialed them. Indeed, even as the tea party calls for the return to constitutional basics, our universities neglect The Federalist and its classic exposition of constitutional principles…

Neither professors of political science nor of history have made a priority of instructing students in the founding principles of American constitutional government. Nor have they taught about the contest between the progressive vision and the conservative vision that has characterized American politics since Woodrow Wilson (then a political scientist at Princeton) helped launch the progressive movement in the late 19th century by arguing that the Constitution had become obsolete and hindered democratic reform…

Those who doubt that the failings of higher education in America have political consequences need only reflect on the quality of progressive commentary on the tea party movement. Our universities have produced two generations of highly educated people who seem unable to recognize the spirited defense of fundamental American principles, even when it takes place for more than a year and a half right in front of their noses.

With a potentially competitive race developing back home in Minnesota’s 8th District, Transportation Committee Chairman Jim Oberstar collected a contribution from just one resident of the district between June 22 and Sept. 30, according to a federal election report filed Wednesday.

Jane Robbins of Pine City gave Oberstar $500 on Aug. 22.

Other than that, all of his contributions came from political action committees, Native American tribes or individual donors in other districts and states.

In all, the veteran Iron Range Democrat, first elected in 1974, collected just $233,102 in receipts over the time period. By comparison, fellow Minnesotan Michele Bachmann, a Republican firebrand, pulled in $5.4 million between July 1 and Sept. 30….

While she’s whoring herself in a state where 2/3 of the people find her repulsive she couldn’t even get the 2 candidates to appear with her. On Wednesday, Rep. Jim Marshall (D-Ga.) became the second congressional Democrat to signal [he] will not vote in favor of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi keeping her gavel should the party retain control of the chamber come November.
“Georgia is a long way from San Francisco,” says a narrator at the beginning of the 30-second spot as footage of hippies flashes across the screen. “Jim Marshall doesn’t support Nancy Pelosi. He voted the same as Republican leaders 65% percent of the time.”

Another Sarah Palin endorsed candidate kicking ass:

Republican up 12 in NM gubernatorial race

New Mexico’s Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Diane Denish, figured that she could just follow outgoing Democratic Governor Bill Richardson into the top spot without too much trouble, but it hasn’t exactly worked out that way. First, her campaign made a couple of missteps, including one doozy where Denish aired an attack ad against Susana Martinez that featured a teacher who later turned out to also be the wife of a kidnapper that Martinez had prosecuted. Denish then had Barack Obama campaign for her, who endorsed her while mispronouncing her name…

FORT HOOD, Texas — A US soldier who captured a deadly 2009 rampage at Fort Hood with his cell phone camera testified Friday that he was ordered to erase the video by his commanders.

The video could have provided key evidence at the trial of Major Nidal Hasan, a US Army psychiatrist who faces 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted murder.

Private Lance Aviles, who shot the video, described a scene of stupefaction, followed by the shocked realization that the crowded army deployment center in Texas was under attack.

“There was a loud shout, ‘Allahu akbar,’ and then gunshots,” Aviles said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if military authorities had investigated the video deletion incident, or if they would. In US civilian courts, destruction of evidence can be a crime.

Tina is this the incident you are referring to? Liberal bias is measured by what they choose to ignore.

“I am the managing editor of the Daily Freeman, Kingston, NY, for which the reporter, William Kemble, works. The following is a statement I have prepared in response to the misrepresentations of this incident by Congressman Hinchey’s office:

There was an incident. Mr. Kemble says the congressman put a hand on his neck. A third party who witnessed the incident says he did not see that, but did see the congressman jabbing Mr. Kemble in the chest with his finger. Yet another witness says Kemble was pushed into the path of another person by the congressman.

For his part, Mr. Kemble views the incident as an unwanted distraction to his work.

However, as managing editor, I take seriously the issue of anyone, including a congressman, putting their hand on or jabbing with a finger a reporter who is simply doing his job.”

  • TfT

That would be the one moderate; this part is on video:

“The questioning, which was caught on tape, led to Hinchey telling the Kemble to “shut up” after the reporter continually tried to ask questions about the topic.”

Just imagine, when Christine O’Donnel was debating Coons (but was really debating Blitzer), Wolf pointed his pointer finger in her face several times demanding an answer. Had O’Donnel told Woffie to “shut up” it would have been all over this board. But, Hinchey is a democrat, so it gets ignored. That is the fairness here. Go figure.
