Sean Hannity Would Like To Scare The Crap Out Of You
A reasoned debate about President Barack Obama‘s first six months in office would go something like this: His supporters might point to a stimulus plan that seems to be working in some areas, a foreign policy that has repaired broken relationships and how he’s delivered on domestic promises climate change and stem cell research. His detractors might focus on runaway government spending, a lack of results concerning foreign policy and a general lack of promised transparency.
But screw that. Let’s scare up the masses.
The opening to Sean Hannity‘s 9pmET Fox News program last night began with clips of Obama speeches from before he entered office. Then, smash cut to “six months later”: and all hell breaks loose. With “Carmina Burana” (made famous by scenes like this from Natural Born Killers) providing the soundtrack, FNC viewers were treated to a barrage of every possible storyline picked up by conservatives since January 20.
Featured: completely out-of-context sound bites, CNBC’s Rick Santelli and his “rant,” Rush Limbaugh‘s “I want him to fail” comment and much more.
At the end of it all, Hannity came back on camera to recap: “A soaring deficit a failed stimulus and a foreign policy ashamed of everything this country stands for. And folks, he’s just getting warmed up.” Go U.S.A?
Enjoy this stunning anti-Obama propaganda clip:
