I do agree it was in bad taste. But as for FOX having clean hands on this stuff, not so. Exhibit A: The Family Guy (e.g. with stewie, the baby, killing numerous characters…). Don’t get me wrong, I like the Family Guy, and most of the other FOX programming, including Fox News. Their sports are excellent, the Simpsons, In Living Color, Married with Children, lot’s of great shows through the years. But some of the right winger posts were castigating SNL as if that sort of thing belongs to the exclusively evil progressives. In fact, Fox flew as a network because they were NOT conservative about their programming.

You are right. The only issue relates to the current climate and whether joking about physically beating up a (supposed) news reporter is the message someone like Anderson wants to send at this particular time.

It’s sad that this is what Anderson Cooper’s career has come down to. Sad indeed!

I guess if no one takes him serious anyway then what can a little yucking up do!? His reputation and career are shot anyway so I guess this is him trying to keep that paycheck rolling in and that celeb status in tact so he can afford that high class lifestyle.
