The Lowest/Greatest Moment In This Accountant’s Life: Counting Eliminated Miss America Contestants Standing In A Line
Pat Pruitt probably studied hard in school, earned an advanced degree, got an accounting job with Ernst and Young, and passed a series of several professional tests over many years. He finally had made it as a legitimate accountant.
And then the hosts of the Miss America contest asked him to count a bunch of women in lines.
A new, surprise twist in the Miss America contest this year had the eliminated contestants stand behind one of three finalists that they would like to see advance to the evening gown competition. Co-hosts Brooke Burke-Charvet and Chris Harrison, apparently not able to count the women themselves, had to call on the services of Pruitt to literally come to the stage, on live television, and count three lines of beauty contestants while the nation watched.
