Tom Hanks Does The Weather While Dancing On Univision’s Morning Show, Despierta America
Can you be a good guest on a network morning show if you don’t really speak the language? Tom Hanks gave it a stellar effort on Univision’s Despierta America, gamely pretending to know what was going on, catching the words in Spanish he did know, and then jumping at a chance to help do the weather, which has become something of a movie-star-on-news-show cliche. But in Spanish, hey, it felt fresh–especially when Hanks wisely asked for music and began dancing.
Beyond that, we can tell you Despierta America is a fun program to watch even if you don’t speak Spanish, and the weather in Atlanta yesterday was sunny and hot, hitting a high of 96 degrees. Oh, and Tom Hanks has some kind of movie coming out or something.
