I just wanted to say that's a fantastic screen grab and I totally understand the rationale behind whipping up the closest thing you could find to approximate a "story" just so you could show it to us.

M,
Blue is right. I don't argue that Fox's prime time lineup is balanced. They are all right-wingers (Hannity and Beck) or center-right moderates (O'Reilly and Greta). But you should be able to freely admit that MSNBC's primetime lineup lacks is equally unbalanced on the other side of the spectrum. Matthews is usually a center-left moderate, and he seems to be getting over his desire to sex up Obama. Olbermann, Maddow and Ed what's-his-face are off the chart liberals.

Complain about MSNBC, and then you'll have a leg to stand on. At least FOX brings on differing guests... when was the last time you saw KO talk to someone he disagreed with. Oh that's right... never.

No. There’s a whole lot of moderates, but not a single liberal.

The inherent contradiction in M's world is humorous. The far-left hate FOX so much, they encourage their members to stay off the channel. Yet, they then go and complain that FOX doesn't have any of them on. Seems like a catch-22 to me...

Of course, it doesn't work. Beckel is an undeniable liberal, and a very strong guest. But again, the common complaint is from the same crew that insists that Joe Scarabough is an acceptable Republican, despite undeniable evidence that he's (at best) a moderate Republican.

The only time the left thinks a common FNC guest is a liberal, is right after they get let go from the network. For more on that, see Jane Hall's release... two weeks ago she was a "moderate," but last week, when her contract wasn't renewed... she became a "liberal." Same with Marc Lamont Hill. And so on...

As long as there’s not a single liberal commentary prime time show on Fox...

It would be nice if you applied the same standard to all television networks. In which case, you'd point out how EVERY OTHER NETWORK is biased left. But I'm sure you won't be rushing to do that any time soon.

>Lots of liberals on Fox m…..always have been.

No. There's a whole lot of moderates, but not a single liberal. Fox News, in order to prove their balance, needs a prime time show where it's a liberal clearly advocating for liberal policies and issues. Not a faux-liberal, but someone as far to the right as Glenn Beck but to the left. As long as there's not a single liberal commentary prime time show on Fox, they have jack squat credibility in their claim that they're fair and balanced.

The WH War on Fox is still a hot topic because the WH made it one. When they decide to grow up and get over it, then the topic will fade.

Just because the talking points memo discussed the WH War on FNC doesn't mean the whole show focused on same topic. Did Colby watch the whole show, or just the talking points?

Lots of liberals on Fox m.....always have been. I will say I much preferred H&C to the new just Hannity show, but Hannity still has Bob Beckel on nightly. Be honest, even if FNC did give a prime time show to a liberal anchor, you wouldn't watch them. Furthermore, why would they? They are kicking butt in the ratings. Folks want an alternative to the Obama suckupery and the only place to find that is on FNC.

Fox News gives voices to all kinds of opinion? Give us a prime time show anchored by a liberal.
