Rutgers Paid $32K For Snooki Speech; She Gave Them ‘When You’re Tan, You Feel Better About Yourself’

And to think the world mocked Rutgers University for paying Jersey Shore “star” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi $32,000 to give a campus talk last week–more than the school’s paying universally regarded smart person Toni Morrisson to deliver the commencement address.

Well, you knew the folks at Rutgers had their reasons, right? Now we know the pearls of wisdom that Snooki shared with students, and, well, get ready to re-think your snark. Turns out Ms. Polizzi has some life experience that even the esteemed Ms. Morrisson just can’t match. Take, for instance, this gem: “when you’re tan, you feel better about yourself.” And as the New York Post reports, Snooki also suggested that the route to reality show celebrity does involve cracking books (and beers): “Study hard, but party harder.” A bargain at twice the price.
