What Insult Made Barbara Boxer Insist Rand Paul ‘Owes the President a Huge Apology?’

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) told MSNBC host Martin Bashir that she thinks Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) should apologize to President Barack Obama after accusing the president of asking America to consent to becoming “allies with Al Qaeda.” Boxer added that she cannot speak for Paul who is running for President of the United States after serving in the Senate for only “five and a half minutes.”

“Twelve years after we were attacked by Al Qaeda, twelve years after 3,000 Americans were killed by Al Qaeda, President Obama now asks us to be allies with Al Qaeda,” Paul said in his response on Tuesday night to the president’s prime time address to the nation.

Boxer called Paul’s statement an “absolute disgrace.”

‘He owes the president a huge apology,” she insisted. “He is talking about a president who is helping Al Qaeda? The president who went and killed [Osama] bin Laden?”

“Especially on the eve of 9/11 when he made those statements — it’s beyond the pale to me,” Boxer insisted.

When asked about Paul’s agenda, Boxer said that he is running for president after having served for only “five and a half minutes in the Senate.”
