Fox’s Carl Cameron Interrupted During Budget Report By (Ugh!) Sweetly Singing Children
To Carl Cameron, the presence of a children’s choral group sweetly singing in the Capitol rotunda as Congress pushes ever closer to a government shutdown is “theater of the absurd.” Cameron, who seemed irritated by the sudden harmony of young voices rising to his live location, later lightened up and expressed regret that he couldn’t show viewers the group below him (Fox’s crew did later adjust and provide a shot) and he said the music “sounds pretty good.”
Naturally, this couldn’t pass without at least a fleeting mention of whether or not the kids were taxpayer-supported.
