White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will meet the press corps in a briefing set for 3:00 p.m. ET.
What will be on today’s docket? Expect President Donald Trump’s early morning tweets to get a mention or two, including that one that intimated that a trade war may be looming with our neighbors to the north and south, Canada and Mexico, thanks to the president’s snap decision to issue tariffs on steel and aluminum.
He also took to Twitter this morning to accuse Barack Obama of trying to discredit his campaign, suggesting that he did “NOTHING” about Russia collusion, in an attempt to elect Hillary Clinton.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, himself embroiled in a variety of potentially career-ending scandals, is visiting Washington D.C. to meet with the president later today.
Of course, gun control questions are not going away anytime soon. The same can also be said for DACA and immigration reform in general. There’s also infrastructure, Jared Kushner’s reduced security clearance and, oh yeah, the looming threat of North Korea. It’s gonna be a hot one, folks.
