White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will meet the press corps beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET.
What kind of questions can we expect Sanders to field? Of course, she’ll have to tangle with the “he said, they said” account of Thursday’s Oval Office meeting, in which President Donald Trump allegedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador and unnamed African nations as “shithole countries,” going as far as to suggest we should have Norway send more immigrants instead.
There’s also the looming specter of Stormy Daniels — in which the president’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, is alleged to have arranged for a six-figure payoff for the porn star to keep quiet about a sexual dalliance said to have taken place just after Barron Trump was born.
There’s also the looming government shutdown, the stalled DACA talks, immigration reform and whether or not the president said he had a “good relationship” with Kim Jong-un.
Today’s briefing comes hot on the heels of this morning’s impromptu press conference, in which Sanders answered questions on DACA and “shithole countries” as she strolled across the White House lawn.
