At a campaign rally in Florida earlier today, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton took a shot at her rival and his penchant for calling people “losers.”
Telling the crowd that Donald Trump has spent his campaign gong after everything this country stands for and attacking minorities, immigrants and women, she went on a tangent about the first President of the United States.
Saying that while she does want to get the economy going she will not change the fundamental values of what made America the greatest nation in the world, she claimed that it all began when George Washington refused to make himself a king.
Piggybacking on that, Clinton said that if Trump had been around during that time, he would have criticized Washington.
“Now, Donald Trump probably would have called him a loser,” Clinton said. “Instead that was one of the most important decisions any president has ever made.”
The Democratic candidate continued to talk about Washington, saying he decided that after eight years it was “time to move on” because the US fought a revolution so we wouldn’t have a king.
