Um, we don’t really know what to say about this one. Last night, Apple released a teaser for an upcoming interview between Mary J. Blige and Hillary Clinton.
Like you’ve never seen them before.@MaryJBlige sits down with @HillaryClinton.#The411
Coming September 30th.https://t.co/hbaWqfjJcp pic.twitter.com/P2qpm3h3Pm— Apple Music (@AppleMusic) September 27, 2016
The video begins with the R&B singer serenading Clinton about police brutality. It begins, “If an officer stops you / Always be polite / And never ever run away / Promise mama you’ll keep your hands in sight.” It ends with “You can get killed just for living in / Your American skin.” Clinton and Blige are holding hands.
The reactions on the Internet were pretty great:

Some predicted that perhaps Mary J. Blige had a dancery agenda:
Mary J. Blige is about to get Hillary Clinton to tear down that wall and build up a dancery.

Apple later released a second video with less singing (though still, there is some singing):

We don’t really know what to make of this. It doesn’t seem like Clinton knows either.
