Conspiracy Theorists Think Kurt Cobain is Alive, Well, and Posing as This Singer

Kurt Cobain died in 1994 from suicide, but people just can’t let go. For years, there has been speculation surrounding his death. There have been rumors that his suicide note was faked, and even ones that point to murder. Now, one conspiracy theory says that Cobain may not be dead at all. According to one idea, he’s alive, well, and living in South America.

In 2012, a video of Peruvian singer Ramiro Saavedra singing “Come as You Are” hit the Internet, and immediately people noticed a resemblance between his voice and that of the late Nirvana singer.

Though admittedly they sound pretty much exactly like each other, Saveedra looks nothing like Cobain did. It’s also worth noting that this video is from a Peruvian television show called Yo Soy (I am), which is an impersonation contest show.

In a sarcastic post on their Facebook page, Nirvana wrote: “It’s true, Kurt is alive. He needed time to learn to play the guitar with his right hand.”
