Trevor Noah Hits Trump While Presenting Grammy Nominations For Best Comedy Album
The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah took to the stage at the 2018 Grammy Awards ceremony this evening to present the nomination for “Best Comedy Album” as well as handing out said award.
You know he wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to throw a slight dig at President Donald Trump.
Noah’s entrance followed Bruno Mars and Cardi B performing their hit single “Finesse.” Noah commented on the retro-feel on the song by dissing Trump.
“That was amazing,” he said. “I love that song. It takes me back. Like way back, to when Trump wasn’t president.”
Noah also gave a shout out to rapper Jay-Z, who is himself involved in a bizarre feud with the president that began by appearing with Van Jones and taking issue with Trump’s assertion that the unemployment rate for African Americans is an all-time low thanks to his policies.
You’ll never guess what happened next. That’s right. Trump tweeted about it.
Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!

So who ended up winning the award for best comedy album? Comedian Dave Chapelle, who has been all over the place tonight, though he gave a muted acceptance speech that ended with “see you all on Monday.”
