Tonight on Restaurant Startup, we’ve got stories everyone can get behind: the restaurant employees who want to spread their wings. It’s Bocadillo vs. Old New York pitching to investors Joe Bastianich and Tim Love for $7,500 to create a pop up and impress the judges.
Bocadillo is a concept from executive chefs Javier Canteras and Ryan Spragg, revolving around a Spanish sandwich called the bocadillo. Right now, it’s a pop up restaurant in Portland and they’re ready to take it to the next level. For the other pitch, Steve Williams and Lee Knople are looking to open Old New York and start an “uptown revolution” in West Harlem with a modern American shared plates restaurant.
Based on Battle of The Pitches on CNBC.com, people think Bocadillo is going to win. But, it’s up to Joe and Tim to decide. Check out a preview of tonight’s episode below:
