What would we do without Bon Appetit’s editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport giving us a heads up on every food buzzword we need in our arsenal to sound like we know what we’re talking about? Thankfully, he stopped by The Today Show this morning to discuss what surely will be the biggest culinary trends of 2013.
Chicken eggs out, duck eggs in; horseradish on everything; juice cleanses; Korean hot sauce — you get the idea. But on the subject of chocolate, Adam was not afraid to take Willie Geist down.
“So chocolate is chocolate…” Willie began with a blasé tone as they moved onto the artisanal chocolate display, which included that lovely $18 bar from Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert.
“CHOCOLATE IS NOT CHOCOLATE,” Adam fiercely countered with a thorough explanation of artisanal chocolate production, after which Willie wisely backed down.
Check out the clip below for more on Adam’s 2013 food trend predictions.
