Break out your maps, geographically-challenged foodies of America; Alain Ducasse is opening his first Middle Eastern restaurant location in Qatar.
The Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar, will house the new Ducasse resto, and, apparently, it doesn’t even have another restaurant in it. Only a coffee shop.
The new eatery was scheduled to open last September, but now it’s slated to begin service before the end of this year. Maybe they’re building an island in the museum on which the restaurant will sit, with a replica of the Titanic to ferry you back and forth from Islamic Sculptures to Ducasse-land.
Congrats, Alain, on your very exotic new locale.
