Besides the endless John Tesar versus the world feuds going down on this season of Top Chef: Seattle, it seems like the cheftestants are beginning to reach their maximum Josie tolerance. Last week, Bart The Belgian Knight went home after being paired with Josie for a team challenge, to the disappointment of basically everyone. But he didn’t have many harsh words for his teammate.
“It definitely affects you,” he told Eater of being around Josie’s particular energy. “I’m the kind of guy who likes it to be nice and quiet in the kitchen, and she likes to be loud and bold.” So, no hard feelings?
“I’m normally the easygoing person. If someone wants to be a jackass, that’s their problem. They’re the ones who have to go through life like that. But I didn’t really have a problem with anybody. I liked hanging around Stefan. Kristen was fun to hang out with. Lizzie is a very nice girl. John, one-on-one, he is kind of cool. I just think some people change when they are surrounded by other people.”
He even liked John one-on-one? Forget #SaveChefBart, let’s get #CanonizeStBart trending. He can be a knight and a saint!
Check out his Save a Chef plea below. (Save a Chef, for those of you who don’t know, is the sub-competition to this season’s Last Chance Clusterfuck.)
