Britain Has Solved Its Biscuit Crisis Temporarily: Breakfast Links
Good morning! It’s Tuesday, the worst day, made even more so because The Bachelor is now over. Hopefully you’re not too worked up either way over the outcome. Also, Pi Day is over. Plus, it’s the Ides of March. Here’s what you need to read before you get your day started.
- First We Feast: In late December, storms caused the Biscuit Works Factory in Carlisle to halt production for a period of time. This is the worst crisis that the people of Britain could ever possibly imagine. Until the factory is up and running again, planeloads of biscuits (Boeing 777 planeloads, to be exact) will be flown in from the UAE.
- Grub Street: In a similarly large crisis, Lin-Manuel Miranda still does not have a caricature at the iconic Sardi’s Restaurant.
- Eater: Shake Shack has finally arrived in Los Angeles. Prepare for major friendship-ending debates over what is referred to in many circles as Life’s Most Pressing Question: In-N-Out or Shake Shack?
- HuffPost Taste: Gwyneth Paltrow drinks a smoothie every morning, and you can too! Be like Gwyneth! BTW, it will cost you $200. She sure has come a long way since her Food Stamp Challenge.
