Donald Trump just can’t help but continue to make headlines. This time he’s going to bat with Celebrity Chef, Jose Andres.
The celebrity chef was supposed to open a signature restaurant in one of Trump’s new hotels opening in Washington D.C. Like many television networks and businesses, the Spanish-born chef backed out of the deal he had with Trump in July after the Republican candidate’s statement about Latinos.
Just weeks after the celebrity chef canceled the deal he was hit with a $10 million lawsuit for breach of contract. Now Andres is countersuing Donald Trump for $8 million stating that the business mogul’s comments about undocumented Mexican immigrants was the reason for the breach of contract. Andres stated:
“More than half of my team is Hispanic, as are many of our guests. And, as a proud Spanish immigrant and recently naturalized American citizen myself, I believe that every human being deserves respect, regardless of immigration status.”
