WATCH: Curtis Stone And Mario Batali Swap Marco Pierre White Stories
After an impressive sizzle reel intro, Michael Symon welcomed Curtis Stone onto The Chew by immediately complimenting his oft-lauded good looks. Carla Hall pointed out that it was because of his hair that he got so much attention from female audience members, which understandably left Michael Symon pouty — a cloud that would hang over the rest of Curtis’s segment.
As Michael announced that Curtis was, since his engagement to actress Lindsay Price, off the market, the audience chimed in with a resounding chorus of disappointment. Michael hopefully added that he, himself, was married… and was met with silence.
Symon painfully recalled the time he introduced his “unflappable” wife to the Top Chef Masters host. (She sputtered out “he’s beautiful!” instead of “hello,” right in front of her husband.) Incidentally, her husband really wasn’t making things any easier on himself during this segment by admitting that he wore Manx (Spanx for men) to combat the weight gain of working on a food show.
Finally, Curtis and Mario Batali closed out the segment by bro-ing it up over their shared experience working under Marco Pierre White, while Michael Symon listened politely through his most dehumanizing ten minutes on TV.
