Hey! You at your desk on a quickly-winding-down Thursday. You look a little antsy. Anticipating the weekend, much? Yeah, we feel you. So does David Meyers of Comme Ca, who stopped by The Talk today with a little Roma-inspired pasta dish. Sensing that you might need some quick and dirty food porn to get you through the end of the day, he pulled through with some simple carbs, bright colors, and bold Italian flavors in a pinch. Oh, and he also brought guanciale, which Aisha Tyler gleefully referred to as “face bacon.”
“FAT. YUM!” Julie Chen (non-ironically!) chimed in.
“That smells crazy!” Aisha exclaimed as David poured the crispy guanciale into the tomato sauce, pool of rendered fat and all.
“Think of it as a not-so-healthy olive oil,” he cheerfully said of adding melted face fat directly into the sauce.
Don’t talk dirty to us when we’re already anxious, David.
