Emeril Lagasse festively served up ribs barbecued three ways in Central Park this morning with the whole GMA gang, but it was one dry rub/glaze combination in particular that rendered the anchors totally unable to use their words for several uncomfortable, moan-filled seconds.
The barbecue sauce that left the GMA segment sounding like a porn set was a root beer-bourbon glaze involving pepper jelly, vanilla bean, bay leaf, cinnamon sticks, cloves, pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and the zest and juice of lemon and orange. See? Now you’re a drooling mess, too. Emeril’s dry rub consisted of paprika (pimenton, if you’re fancy), cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, oregano, and thyme.
