Food Porn: Thomas Keller’s Steak & Egg Tartine

WHERE: Bouchon Bistro, 235 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills

WHO: A part of the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, Bouchon Bistro is Keller’s venture into cheaper and more casual French fare.

WHAT:  What we have here is essentially a really fancy open-faced sandwich, and a sea of gloriously crisp fries. The tartine involves a bottom layer of bread, what appears to be some lightly dressed arugula leaves, and then the winning combination: steak and one perfectly cooked egg. Garnished with chives, of course. Keller is known for being obsessive about his egg cooking procedures, so you know that yolk will break with one tap of a fork.
