We thought Gordon Ramsay was working to be the next Kim Kardashian. When he came out with a mobile game made by the makers of the Kardashian apps, we were certain he was following in her footsteps. It seems, however, that he’s already arrived, and even surpassed her. Forbes has released its list of highest-paid celebrities for 2016. Ramsay is up at 34, having earned $54million last year, which puts him on par with Beyoncé, whose well-documented love of hot sauce and her recent album Lemonade have made her something of a food celebrity in her own right.. Kardashian is ranked 42 and earned $51million.
In addition to his restaurants which have a combined six Michelin stars, Ramsay is, of course, a TV star. Currently, he hosts Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Hell, MasterChef, and MasterChef Jr. He’s also now a tech entrepreneur, and Eater has reported that his game is “@#$#-ing great.” It’s worth noting that while this is impressive, it’s a considerable drop from the 2015 list, when he was ranked 22.
Tom Brady came in 54th place and earned $44million. We wonder how much of that came from his $200 cookbook- er, sorry, nutrition manual.
