Gordon Ramsay who opened up his — count ’em — 27th restaurant last week in Las Vegas and has a solid 2-hour block of programming coming to Fox this summer with the back-to-back return of Hell’s Kitchen and Masterchef in June, has landed yet another TV series across the pond. Back in his native UK, Ramsay will star on Hotel Britannia with British retail expert Mary Portas. The two will lead a team of unemployed contestants looking to break into the service industry, as they attempt to run a pop-up hotel.
According to Channel 4 network execs, the series will address, “one of the biggest issues affecting our audience, youth unemployment.”
Ugh, we feel you over here, guys.
Oh, and did we mention he has a similar show in the pipeline Stateside? That one’s called (what else?) Hotel Hell, and is a spin-off of Kitchen Nightmares, in which Gordon and his team of experts travel around the country revamping failing hotels. Prepare for Total Ramsay Domination this summer.
