Gordon Ramsay Claims Marcus Samuelsson Fabricated ‘Black Bastard’ Story

One of the most talked about passages in Marcus Samuelsson’s new book is about the time Gordon Ramsay called him a “black bastard”. Well, Gordon’s finally decided to comment on it.

The Daily Mail published a statement made by Gordon’s spokesperson which vehemently denies Marcus’ claim, even suggesting that Marcus made the story up in order to generate some publicity for his book. The statement also mentions that Marcus was considered and auditioned for a judging position on MasterChef — which contradicts Marcus’ claim that he’s avoided Gordon since the incident.

‘We’re shocked by these completely false and extremely offensive accusations. Gordon has always had an amicable relationship with Mr Samuelsson, even suggesting him as a fellow judge when MasterChef started in the US two years ago.

This was an offer Mr Samuelsson readily entertained, travelling to LA twice to audition alongside Gordon, hours of which are captured on video, so we are understandably baffled as to why he would make these statements as well as publicly claim in a recent interview that their paths “haven’t crossed” since the alleged call.

Marcus, however, stands behind the story and everything else in his book, despite the fact that Gordon’s people are threatening legal action.
