WATCH: Gwyneth Paltrow Calls Her Cookbook Critics ‘Sensationalist’
Gwyneth Paltrow appeared on Good Morning America today to confess that, at one point in her life, she was consuming too much wine, cheese, and french fries with HER GOOD FRIEND Mario Batali, and her doctor said the only way to get her body back on track was to cut everything but coconut water out of her diet. Or something.
So, her cookbook was born, and the criticism for its ridiculously expensive ingredient list quickly followed suit.
“That is insane. I mean, this meal here is like two dollars a person,” she countered while demoing a chicken and white bean chili.
“I say I like raw honey, and the jar is like $25, but it lasts for two years,” she insisted. “So they were just being sensationalist. There’s a lot of inches of column that people need to fill, so a lot of times they just try to get attention and say things that aren’t true, unfortunately.”
…We’ll stick to the wine, cheese, and french fries. Let us know how your gluten-free, dairy-free mac ‘n’ cheese works out!
