Eric Ripert is sometimes known as a Michelin three-star chef and media personality, but he’s achieved his greatest renown for his stunning hair, pristine and majestic as the Himalayas. This is the only rationale we’ve come up with to describe why his likeness was found on the above ad for a Hudson Valley wig company.
Twitter user Andrew Ross discovered the ad for Max Hair Club in Middletown, NY, and immediately tweeted it to Ripert. Ripert LOLed at the concept, because you would too if your hair, snowy and windswept as the top of Mount Everest, was used to hawk men’s wigs.
Max Hair Club could not be reached for comment by the time of publication, but we are certain that they, too, remain in awe of the terrifying beauty of Ripert’s hair, known in Tibetan as Qomolangma.
Countless men and women have died in the attempt to ascend Eric Ripert’s hair, and their frozen remains lie buried in the vast tundra of his blinding locks. As famed British explorer George Mallory poetically described it:
“The highest of the world’s
mountainstresses, it seems, has to make but a single gesture of magnificence to be the lord of all, vast in unchallenged and isolated supremacy.”
