Multi-Michelin-starred chef and slightly disconcerting giant foods wizard Heston Blumenthal is rumored to be opening a restaurant in either Atlanta, Boston, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, New York, or Washington, DC. Aren’t you glad that mystery is solved? We sure are.
A rep for Blumenthal would neither confirm nor deny the rumor, but Guy Woodward of London’s Food and Travel Magazine began the buzz via Twitter with news that Heston “will open a restaurant in one of Mandarin Oriental’s US hotels — maybe next year.”
Does this mean we, too, can partake in giant ice cream cones? Will Sasha and Malia have edible candlesticks at their next birthday? Here’s the scoop: he already has one restaurant, Dinner by Heston, inside the Mandarin Oriental London. So it stands to reason that he might make the skip across the pond to open one here. But a Vegas hotel restaurant? One Michelin starred man cannot right two culinary wrongs.
