It’s John Tesar’s (rightful) turn back in the spotlight, and it has nothing to do with a restaurant critic. Instead, Tesar announced that he, along with another meaty (get it?) writer, Josh Ozersky, will be writing a cookbook by the name of his Dallas restaurant, Knife.
It’s Tesar’s first cookbook ever, reports Eater, which is super exciting for us all. Tesar told Eater the cookbook would be a combination of restaurant recipes from Knife (for which he just received a James Beard semifinalist nomination) and some more home cook-friendly recipes. And yeah, it’s a Meat Tornado Explosion, in the words of Parks and Recreation. The book “will be a celebration of American steak; an exploration into modern, self-sustaining Texas ranching; and a trip inside the mind of one of the most distinctive and acclaimed meat chefs in the world,” says a press release. In other words: steaks on steaks on steaks. Get. It.
Don’t worry, though — Tesar’s not giving up on his battle against Leslie Brenner. In fact, he hopes the book will educate her.
