Trisha Yearwood Ties With Best Thing I Ever Ate At Daytime Emmys, Lidia Bastianich Nabs Outstanding Host

Food Network vehicles swept the Outstanding Culinary Program category at last night’s 2013 Daytime Emmy Awards, broadcast last night from Los Angeles. Both Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, the show hosted by erstwhile country singer Trisha Yearwood, and Best Thing I Ever Ate, the humblebrag show where chefs talk about the food they get to eat (and yoooouuuu dooooon’t), tied for the statue.

But it wasn’t just Food Network peeps picking up more Food Network Emmys (and the poor nominated Lannister Twins Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis received no gold). Lidia Bastianich won for Outstanding Culinary Host for her PBS show, Lidia’s Italy.

Congratulations to all the culinary winners, but beware: the Lannisters always pay their Emmy debts.
