Mario Batali Interviews Gwyneth Paltrow for Medium; It’s as GOOP-y as You Think

Why did we expect anything enlightening from this interview, anyway? And also, can Mario Batali interview some, we don’t know, actual chef friends?

Nevertheless, Gwyneth Paltrow is apparently still really interesting and all of that, so Mario Batali gives her the “inquisition” in Medium. What we learned from Paltrow:

If you were a food, what would you be?

A dozen Kumamoto oysters with very spicy cocktail sauce and a lovely mignonette on the side

Erm, OK.

Describe the perfect meal, what and where?

Fried clams, a wedge of blue cheese, oysters, and a lobster roll and french fries with my family and best friends in Amagansett, New York.

We won’t argue with that, mainly because we want a lobster roll now.

What food do you want served at your funeral?

Lots of caviar. I want people to enjoy it.

Anddddddd there it is — the GOOP-y moment we were waiting for! We’d say to read the rest of the interview, but it’s actually kind of a snooze. Batali, if you’re going to be an interviewer (inquisitioner?), ask some better questions. Or maybe it’s the Medium editors. We just don’t know anymore.
