When Donald Trump heads to Cleveland for the Republican National Convention, he should steer clear of Michael Symon‘s restaurants, because he’s not getting in. He called into local radio station 92.3 The Fan yesterday and the conversation got political. When asked about what parties he’d be throwing for the upcoming RNC, the always outspoken celebrity chef said, “there is not a chance I let him into any of my restaurants.”
He continued, “I, fortunate or unfortunate, enough to meet him through the years and I’m not going to lie, he creeps me out a little bit.”
The guest host of the show Matt Dery warned Symon that he might be alienating some potential customers. Symon replied, “Anybody that knows me knows I’m not afraid to speak my mind, so there’s that. But this isn’t a Democratic or Republican thing, trust me. He just creeps me out.”
To be fair, The Donald probably doesn’t want to eat there anyway. Symon doesn’t serve filet-o-fish, and his steaks are generally probably less than well-done. Trump is also probably getting used to it. This isn’t the first time he’s been banned from a restaurant.
