SPOILER ALERT: List Of 2013 Michelin UK Winners Leaks Online Before Official Announcement

Although the Michelin Guide was set to announce their star ratings next week in an elaborate ceremony involving a puffy man, the list of winners was posted on their own website more than a week in advance — and were only taken down more than three hours after the results began leaking onto social media. Thankfully, The Guardian UK recapped the results for us.

First, for the news you care about: Michelin stars! (Warning: this post contains spoilers, Snape kills Dumbledore, and Darth Vader is Luke’s father.)

All of England’s three-star restaurants held onto their awards:

  • The Fat Duck (Heston Blumenthal)
  • Restaurant Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road
  • Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester
  • Waterside Inn (The Roux Brothers)

Three restaurants were raised from one to two stars:

  • L’Enclume (Simon Rogan)
  • Latymer (Michael Wignall)
  • Sketch (Pierre Gagnaire and Mourad Mazouz)

And the following nine restaurants were awarded their first Michelin star:

  • Alyn Williams at the Westbury
  • Dabbous (Oliver Dabbous)
  • Medlar (Joe Mercer Nairne)
  • Hedone (Mikael Jonsson)
  • Launceston Place (Tim Allen)
  •  Fergus Henderon’s St John at Soho
  • Trishna (Karam Sethi)
  • Tom Aikens
  • The Hinds Head (Heston Blumenthal)

Congratulations to everyone on the list, unless this is a improbable, hairbrained scheme by the Michelin committee, which has had to deal with accidentally leaked results in the past, to give everyone a head-fake this time around. (As of now, no one from Michelin has commented on the story.) In that case, we’re sorry they were so cruel.
