If there’s something we’ve learned from Paula Deen, it’s that she’s not quite good with the words and the “stringing them together to make compelling sentences” skillset necessary for most media figures. Case in point: this post-Sandy interview with a bedraggled ABC news crew in her Savannah restaurant, in which she expresses her strange hope that the victims would rebound. She expressed it, specifically, like this:
“All it takes is for America to get her butt kicked for the cream to rise to the top,” Deen said.
How’s that for a mixed metaphor?
