Art Smith’s JBA After-Party Menu Announced: Offal And Oysters And Punch, Oh My!

The official invite for Art Smith’s 2013 James Beard Awards after-party, dubbed Queer for Beard in honor of the LGBT winners and nominees, was released last week, and we just got word on the vittles being offered! Queer for Beard experienced a last-minute venue shift from Art’s originally intended locale at the spa of the Out Hotel (hot tub party!) to KTCHN Restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen.

Art wrote to us about the change, explaining, “The reason we moved the party from the spa to the restaurant was the noise and also we are doing a lot of food.”

And he means a lot of it, that would probably be better preserved under restaurant conditions than hot tub ones. Aside from main dishes served by KTCHN’s Dale Schnell, the menu boasts tons of lamb offal from Border Springs Farm Chef Aaron Gottesman and The Landing Chef Bruno Silva, plus a raw bar from Rappahannock River Oysters and Chef Dylan Fultineer. And, to make sure the post-awards revelry continues long into the night, mixologist Derek Brown will keep the party punch flowing. (No seriously, punch is on the menu.)
