Sandra Lee’s New TV Show Is A Clever Backronym

Earlier this summer, we reported that Sandra Lee had been spotted filming a television series in Real, Famous Restaurants/Clubs/Lounges around the country, reportedly to copy their recipes for the home cook. Obviously, this ended up being an official television series for the Food Network. And thank goodness for that, because if Sandra Lee was going around with a television crew just…because…actually, let’s not think about that.

Anyways. The first show, Sandra’s Restaurant Remakes, is pretty much the same as what’s been reported before: Sandra visits famous restaurants around the country, then shows you, the home cook without fancy six-tops or immersion circulators or other such chefly gadgets, how to recreate their signature dishes at home.

The second, however, gets a clever new name: Sandra Lee’s Taverns, Lounges & Clubs. (Basically, just take the premise from above and apply it to drinks and food from taverns, lounges and clubs.) If you, like us (and Guy Fieri, and everybody in the television industry), tend to abbreviate everything in sight, this show gets turned into Sandra Lee’s TLC.

Rhyming title? Check. Backronyms that have pleasant connotations? Check. This is the makings of another Emmy-winning hit, after the prestigious award won by Sandra Lee’s makeup artist.
