We’ve seen dozens of chefs combine forces to knock out a handful of courses in some swank NYC restaurant for a couple hundred bucks a head in the name of Hurricane Sandy relief. Now, for something completely new and different, My Last Supper is hosting Shame on Sandy, a variety show with bites and drink provided by some of New York’s culinary superheros. Danny Meyer, Eric Ripert, Floyd Cardoz, Gail Simmons, Jonathan Waxman, Mario Batali, and Michael White are among the celebrity chefs attending, while the Oysters XO gals will be on hand to do their thing (which, to be specific, is shucking in sexy outfits).
Bobby Flay isn’t listed on the culinary line-up, but his wife Stephanie March is among the celeb talent on display, so he’s covered. Abigail Breslin and Patrick Stewart will also be performing.
Tickets are selling for $150 apiece for the show at New York City’s Highline Stages, with 100% of proceeds going to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City to help families affected by Hurricane Sandy.
We want to be there just to watch how bashful Eric gets around the oyster girls.
