Bourdain-Produced The Getaway Finally Gets Premiere Date, Celeb Lineup Released

Anthony Bourdain/Zero Point Zero-produced The Getaway was originally slated to premiere last April, but with the delay of the Esquire Network (originally G4) going live, the series was shelved until further notice. Finally, Esquire is releasing the series’ shiny new premiere date, plus the full celebrity lineup of the ten-episode season.

As you may or may not remember, The Getaway is a travelogue following a different celebrity through a city of his or her choosing, executive produced by Bourdeezy, and slapped together by ZPZ.

You can catch the season premiere on the Esquire Network Wednesday, September 25 at 9:00 PM ET. The celebrity host and location lineup is as follows:

  • Joel McHale (The Soup, Community) in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
  • Aisha Tyler (Archer) in Paris.
  • Grammy Award-winning performer-songwriter Eve in Kingston, Jamaica.
  • Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation) in Hong Kong.
  • Acclaimed chef José Andrés in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
  • Josh Gad (Book of Mormon) in New York City.
  • True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten in Los Angeles (ZOMG Jason Stackhouse + ZPZ, did all our dreams just come true?)
  • Brothers Seth Meyers (Saturday Night Live) and Josh Meyers (MADtv) in Amsterdam.
  • Rashida Jones (The Office, Parks and Recreation) in London. (Um, is Bourdain a closet P-Rex fan?)
  • Paul Feig (creator of Freaks and Geeks, director of Bridesmaids) in Boston.
