Everybody Loves Raymond co-creator Phil Rosenthal has his hands in a bunch of California restaurant barrels, and, among them is Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. So, he tapped his pal Keller, who BTW consulted on Ratatouille, to shoot a new food and travel pilot with him to shop around to networks. (Due to this proposed show’s apparent lack of shouting Brits, may we suggest Fox?)
Rosenthal is also executive producing a food documentary called Spinning Plates, which follows the kitchen of three different restaurants, including Alinea’s brigade, in which Keller is also supposedly appearing.
The premise of the series follows Rosenthal as he travels around the world with his chef friends visiting other famous chefs’ restaurants. Keller is that friend for the pilot episode, and it looks like the first stop in the series brings them to the great Michelin-starred restos of London, as Heston Blumenthal and Fergus Henderson are rumored to be involved with the premiere episode as well.
We’ll keep you posted as the show progresses and let you know what network, if any, picks up Rosenthal & Co.
