Tiffany Derry Not the Biggest Fan of TV Competitions; We’re Cool with That

Tiffany Derry, the nicest talented contestant ever to appear on Top Chef, has been up to something in Dallas — and if you, like us, have no idea what she’s doing, it’s time to play catch-up. Like her fellow cheftestants, Derry’s attempting to climb Mount Media Empire, but unlike her peers, she’s doing it her way: quietly and deliberately.

Derry had left her previous restaurant, Private Social, back in January, but she revealed in a profile in Pegasus News that she’s in the empire business, planning to “open a few restaurants, on a smaller scale than P.S., do multiple TV shows, do a spice line, do an apparel line, and roll out a cook book.” But while she’s slated to appear on a few competition shows like Cutthroat Kitchen and Hungry Investor, where she’ll pretend to be Mark Cuban and choose restaurants to invest in, she’s not really a fan of dramatic, backstabby shows:

Despite her time on Top Chef, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Hungry Investors, she claims she doesn’t like competition-style shows. They’re just a stepping stone, she said.

“I want my own show,” she said. “I feel like I have a different style.”

Oh god you’re so nice, Tiffany. Please get everything you want in life, because you clearly deserve it. (Really!)
