Since it opened in 2014, the hype at Gato has still mostly not died down. It’s Bobby Flay‘s newest restaurant where he proves once and for all that yes, he really can cook. We dare you to try the vegetarian paella, or the scrambled eggs appetizer and disagree.
Flay was on Facebook Live today with the Food Network (the third to last episode of Next Food Network Star airs on Sunday) and he went over Gato’s summer menu and answered questions from users. Highlights from the menu include an heirloom tomato salad, anchovies with crushed white beans, and burrata. He also answered the important question of what a first time diner at Gato should get. He recommended the octopus and the aforementioned paella, although to be honest, everything is awesome.
