Royal Marines need to eat around 4,000 calories per day, which is about twice that of the average man. It’s a lot of food, but it’s not surprising in the least when you learn about their training, which is absolutely grueling. In the below, Gordon Ramsay spends the day with the Marines and completes an endurance course with them before cooking them beef curry.
Ramsay is known for being an incredible athlete. If he hadn’t become a chef, he was possibly going to play professional football (and we mean that in the British way). He’s also an Ironman. The course is tough, though, and he has to do it while carrying an assault rifle and 32 pounds of equipment.
Once he finishes, he makes a beef curry that will keep the Marines full for a while. Watch the video:
