Meet Ben Ten. He runs a YouTube channel called Awesome Eats, and he’s also a complete lunatic.
For his most recent food challenge, he took on one of the spiciest noodle dishes on the planet. If you’re thinking, “but this restaurant near me makes these really, really hot noodles,” you’re not even in the right ballpark. The dish is made with 100 birds eye chilis, which can come in at anywhere between 100,000 and 225,000 Scoville units, according to Australia Geographic. For comparison, Huy Fong Sriracha sauce falls in the 1,000 to 2,500 range.
Ben decides to take on the Indomie Abang Adek challenge and document the whole thing on YouTube.
He realizes pretty quickly he’s doomed. From the first bite, Ben turns red and starts to sweat. His friend says, “It’s not edible, man. It’s not freaking edible. It’s so hot.”
Ben forges ahead, eating more of the noodles. He eventually takes his shirt off, rubs ice on his tongue, and downs multiple bubble teas but nothing helps. Eventually he loses his hearing.
We honestly can’t imagine why a person would willingly do this.
