Jerry Seinfeld may be the number one person in Tina Fey’s life right now, because in the latest installment of his series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, he introduced the inventor of the Cupcake Sandwich to Dominique Ansel’s Croissant Doughnut.
As all comediennes/cupcake innovators are wont to do, Tina Fey fell in love with everything in the store, especially with the Cronut. “Are there going to be chains of Cronut stores?” she asks, followed soon by a story about how she thought “You eat a lot” was a compliment paid by someone she previously dated. (We think that’s a compliment!)
Dominique Ansel shows up about 12 minutes in, just in time to saw a Cronut in half and then disappear into the ether.
