Hollywood actor Denzel Washington was spotted yelling at a photographer on Monday after he was repeatedly grabbed by the arm at the Cannes Film Festival.

As Washington was seen speaking with director Spike Lee and rapper A$AP Rocky on the Cannes red carpet, a photographer pulled on the actor’s arm, prompting Washington to dress the photographer down.

Despite Washington’s stern reaction, the photographer grinned before grabbing the actor’s arm yet again, as Washington could be seen shouting, “Stop!”

In a statement, Washington told People magazine he had “a great evening” despite the photographer’s repeated grabbing.

Washington appeared on the red carpet for the screening of his latest movie Highest to Lowest, a neo-noir crime thriller directed by Lee and co-starring A$AP Rocky, Jeffrey Wright, and rapper Ice Spice, and was awarded an honorary Palme d’Or during the festival.

“This is a total surprise for me, so I’m a little emotional,” Washington said as he received the award. “

But from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all. It was a great opportunity to collaborate with my brother once again — brother from another mother, Spike.”

He continued, “To be here once again in Cannes, you know, we’re a very privileged group in this room that we get to make movies and wear tuxedos and nice clothes and dress up and get paid for it as well… You know, we’re just blessed beyond measure, I’m blessed beyond measure, and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all. Thank you.”
